Hey people, the blog has not been updated for the past week or so, even though there's 3 authors, I blame it on sheer laziness. From now on, every week I'm going to rant once just for the sake of updating. It is going to be called a RANTERPIECE!! oh yeah fuck you if you think that's not a good name.(will think of a better name soon ... heheh)

I have been busy this past few weeks, graduation ceremony, short courses and revising. Yes revising, I have to break this Bruneian tradition of studying at the last minute. Seriously, procrastination just gets the better of me, most of the time.

Just recently, a 12 yr old Bruneian died from swine flu, which is sad, condolences to the family.
The cases are increasing at quite a rate, I remember reading an article a few weeks back confirming the first case, and now we have what..... 96 cases and counting.

Even Malaysia and Singapore haven't had any deaths yet due to swine flu ( according to wiki)
. Now if you think about it, this is quite rare that an epidemic of this epic proportion actually is happening in Brunei.

From my point of view, unless we take a more drastic action and just stop acting like ignorant bitches thinking ' ooh I'm not going to get swine flu , I'm lucky... fuck you fate!!' attitude, the cases and the deaths will just keep on coming.

Instead of just praying that this disaster goes away , it should be supplemented by actions, drastic actions. I mean, think about it, if you are going to do an exam soon, you can read all the prayers and pray all you want, but if you don't supplement that with studying you are just going to fail miserably. (oh don't say," this is a test for me...by god"..... no dumbass... you failed because you did not make any effort to study ... what the hell were you thinking? )

Anyway, yes , drastic tough actions.

LOCKDOWN!

Yes a lock down of Brunei, no one going in or no one going out, or failing that, just restrict the number of people flying out and flying in , and quarantine anyone who's arriving for a good number of days to confirm they are free of the disease.

Because no matter what you tell people, like avoid traveling to other countries, there's always the ignorant stupid asswipe who does not care what the fuck is happening. They fly/drive/go
to another country, get infected, go back to Brunei, infect some more people, bla bla bla.... in the long run some people die and some people don't. Yes, that simple, moron goes out , people die.

Here are some statistics I found, regarding the number of cases that day, 27 new cases;

"It also gave a situation summary of cases as of today:

1) Cases in different age groups:-

• 58.4% of the reported cases are made up of people of ages 20 years and below
• 36.4% of them are in between the ages of 20 and 40 years of age
• 5.2% involves those above the age of 40

2) Current epidemiological study showed the history of infection:-

• 56% cases had travel history to other countries (ie. United Kingdom, Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Johor, Lawas, Bintulu, Miri, Labuan, Singapore, Philippines and Laos)
• 25.8% cases were through contact
• 18.2% cases are not yet known and is still being investigated''

See the one I highlighted? they went out and then made 'contact' causing more infections.
Need I say more?

EDUCATE!!

why? because we have this mentality of 'nah it's not going to happen to me, being the ignorant fucktard that I am just gonna resume my life as normal'.

Wake up fucktards, this is real and this is happening.

People still sneeze into their hands, people still congregate , people still go to functions, people still don't wash their hands , people still bring their kids out, and people still make events so that more people can come.

Hopefully , one day, this epidemic would cease and that ain't going to happen unless we are more serious about it.

I think this is an angry post, maybe it's the heat and the insects thinking my room is a sanctuary, fuck you insects!!
